About: Bucatini means pierced, and is a long thick type of spaghetti with a hole that runs down the center of it, making it a kind of tubular shape. It is one of the thickest forms of long pasta. Found here as a manufactured product in Italy it is still available as fresh pasta. It is served with any number of traditional sauces. It is also a good pasta for baking in the oven. In Italian cuisine, it is served with buttery sauces, pancetta or guanciale, vegetables, cheese, eggs, and anchovies or sardines. Source Wikipedia
