Made truly international thanks to Carrie from Sex in the City. The Cosmopolitan ruled the cocktail circuit throughout the late 90’s and into 2000. It’s lingering popularity is due to the fact that’s it’s really a very tasty drink!
Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitans are great any time of the day! They lend themselves to be made by the batch.
This recipe is for one but simply change the number of drinks you would like to make in the "Servings box" below.
Ingredients
- 5-6 ice cubes
- 4 cl vodka
- 4 cl cranberry juice
- 2 cl Curacao Triple Sec
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 strip of lime peel
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker put the ice, vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and the curacao. Fit the shakers top and shake vigorously for 8 - 10 seconds.
- Take the strip of lime zest and holding it over the glass pinch it to release the oils from the zest and add to the glass. Serve immediately.
Notes
Some bartenders wipe the rim of the glass with the lime strip and then dip the glass in sugar. It's all up to you!
