About:
The origins of cataneselle pasta are unclear, but it is believed to have originated in southern Italy, possibly in the Campania region. Another theory suggests that cataneselle pasta was inspired by the shape of the coiled tails of cats, which were considered to be symbols of good luck in Italy. This symbolism may have appealed to people who wanted to bring good luck into their kitchens.
Cataneselle is a long tubular pasta a little longer and thinner than Ziti or Penne.  it can be found fresh or dried, rigate or smooth It is often described as resembling a cat’s tail, hence its name. It is a versatile pasta that can be used in a variety of dishes, from simple tomato sauce to hearty stews and soups. Like penne and ziti it is a good catch-all pasta that goes well with a wide variety of sauces.
