Made truly international thanks to Carrie from Sex in the City. The Cosmopolitan ruled the cocktail circuit throughout the late 90’s and into 2000. It’s lingering popularity is due to the fact that’s it’s really a very tasty drink!

      1. In a cocktail shaker put the ice, vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and the curacao.Fit the shakers top and shake vigorously for 8 - 10 seconds.
      2. Take the strip of lime zest and holding it over the glass pinch it to release the oils from the zest and add to the glass.Serve immediately.
      Recipe Notes

      Some bartenders wipe the rim of the glass with the lime strip and then dip the glass in sugar. It's all up to you!

      A Quick Note

      I wanted to take a minute to say that I do try and weigh as many of the ingredients as I can. I think it helps make recipe results more consistent. Of course professional bakers even measure liquids by weight. I don't mind pulling out my little digital scale when I need to.
