A particular dish from Sardinia, it is made from a raised bread dough with saffron added during the second rise. It is then shaped into 10 cm disked and then deep fried.

They are served with a tomato sauce.

The name literally moons, due to the discis shape. Making pasta from bread dough is an ancient tradion
