I have several friends who actually wait for me to make up batches of this that I give a gifts.  In September and October it’s apple harvest time. This year our very old apple tree produced apples for the first time in years. So armed with 4 kilos (8 pounds) of our home grown apples it was time to make a childhood favorite.

Spare Ribs – Who doesn’t like sweet and sticky spare ribs. These are a staple at our house and weather they are the thin or thick variety we love spare ribs. Braising them at a low temperature for a long time will give you beautiful moist and tender ribs.

Pulled Pork

Pulled Pork

Absolutely delicious. We all love this recipe and I make it often. Its not exactly diet food but it’s worth it. For the bun I use what we call here in Sweden “frallor”. Its a soft white roll which works perfect with this, back home I would use a Kaiser roll.

A Quick Note

I wanted to take a minute to say that I do try and weigh as many of the ingredients as I can. I think it helps make recipe results more consistent. Of course professional bakers even measure liquids by weight. I don't mind pulling out my little digital scale when I need to.

Canapes


I don't have a many canapes here. The ones I share are super quick, very tasty and most of all tasty. Your guests will appreciate the effort.
